Shutter Stories
About The Event
Shutter Stories is a photography exhibition bringing together the work of 10 amateur photographers from the Tricity at Alliance Française de Chandigarh, Sector 36. Created to celebrate World Tourism Day, the exhibition presents Chandigarh and the surrounding Tricity through the personal perspectives of photographers who capture landscapes, people, everyday moments and changing moods through their cameras. The exhibition runs from 24 September to 1 October 2026, with its opening scheduled for Thursday, 24 September at 5:30 PM. Visitors can explore a collection of photographs that moves from quiet lakes and golden sunsets to everyday scenes and distinctive views of the region. Rather than focusing on a single photographic style, Shutter Stories brings together different perspectives from local amateur photographers. Each image offers a glimpse into how the photographers observe their surroundings, turning familiar places and moments into visual stories. The participating photographers featured on the event poster are Ashwini Attri, Subash Sapru, Pramod Kumar Gautam, Gurmeet Kaur, Neeraj Jain, Harvinder Singh, Gurmeet Gawru, Jasvinder Singh, Kuldeep Jaswal and Deepak Parora. The exhibition is hosted at Alliance Française de Chandigarh in Sector 36, a cultural centre that regularly supports artistic and cultural activities in the city. Visitors can attend the exhibition with free entry, making it accessible to photography enthusiasts, art lovers, students, travellers and anyone interested in seeing Chandigarh and the Tricity from different visual perspectives. Alliance Francaise de Chandigarh Visitors can experience the exhibition during the listed gallery hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Whether you enjoy photography, local art or simply discovering familiar places through a different lens, Shutter Stories offers an opportunity to experience the Tricity through the eyes of its emerging amateur photographers.
